A San Antonio native with roots stretching back to the Republic, Carol Van De Walle is a tried and true Lone Star lady. With a family legacy in both the farming and banking businesses, she epitomizes the pioneering spirit of our Texas Republican fore-mothers.

Van De Walle’s roots in the Republican Party run deep, as well, as she has been involved in politics in Bexar County for decades. An excellent organizer, fundraiser, and fearless leader of countless grassroots projects, she is a frequent “go-to” person for Party efforts. Within the county party, she has served as precinct chair, election judge, ballot board member, CEC secretary, and vice chairman. Van De Walle has been a consistent delegate to RPT conventions and was elected by her fellow precinct chairs as chairman of her senate district conventions three times.

She has demonstrated tireless leadership in her seven terms as President of Bexar County Republican Women. She has worn many hats within the Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW)-serving as Secretary, VP for Finance, and First Vice President.

Her dedication has been recognized in Van De Walle’s selection as a recipient of TFRW’s 10 Outstanding Woman award in 2001, and a 2013 Honoree of the Bexar County Republican Party Hall of Fame.
